CAP HENRY WRAPS UP 2007 ATTICA RACEWAY PARK SEASON

“A very successful season for talented rookie competitor”

Bellevue, Ohio – August 28, 2007 - What can only be described as an awesome rookie season at Attica Raceway Park for 17-year-old Cap Henry came to a conclusion Saturday, August 25th 2007. The T-N-T graphics backed machine again had to come from the back of a heat race to make it to the main event.

Starting dead last the G-Force equipped driver made short work of his heat race and was into a transfer spot by the third lap. He then proceeded to cement his A-Main start for the 11th time this season by moving into the third position. Again, as was the case for the majority of the season, young Cap Henry would start 12th in the feature event. The Level Performance powered machine moved forward from the start of the race to come home a very respectful ninth.

With this finish Cap moved the Elite Collision sprinter to ninth overall in the final points standing having been in 23rd position only six weeks prior to this event. Cap was the only Rookie driver out of six to finish in the top ten in the overall point standings in the 2007 Attica Raceway Park Season.

Overall this up and coming driver made 11 of the 13 A-mains held for the 305 dirt sprint cars at Attica in 2007, with a final tally of two heat race wins, two fop fives, and eight top ten A-main results. Highlights of the Attica season included winning the two heat races, finishing two heat races in second chasing 2007 305 champion Andy Shammo, and battling with past 305 champion and current 410 driver Mike Linder on the special event ‘Engine Builder’s Night’.

“I want to thank the whole team for an awesome job this year at Attica,” explained 17-year-old Cap Henry. “At the halfway point we didn’t even think we’d be in the top 20 let alone the top ten. Special thanks to my crew chief Keith Whaley who helped manage and guide the team in making this all possible.”
