All Star Circut of Champions
January 29, 2010
This weekend, RFR Driver Cap Henry is ready to step into the seat as he makes his Rookie season debut in the "All Star Circuit of Champions". The winged sprint car series starts tonight in Florida at the Ocala Speedway with a back-to-back Friday/Saturday night kick-off.
Henry graduated high school last spring and won three "Rookie-of-the-Year" titles in 2009 as he won the F.A.S.T. Series, Fremont Speedway and Attica Speedway honors. Team CHR returned to the Chili Bowl a couple of weeks ago but was frustrated all weekend by various mechanical problems.
"Regardless of what he deals with, the kid just keeps applying the pressure to whoever is in front of him", says team owner and proud father, Kit Henry. "Practice went well on Wednesday and we were able to turn competitive times against some of the best in the business."

Trial and Error
January 15, 2010
Well we wish we had good news to report though we don't. They say this place is 90 % luck and 10% everything else, and unfortunately we didn't have the 90%.
The heat race started with Cap in 4th position, though he bobbled on the start and then got hit on the first lap, and the car died, re firing as he rolled through the cushion. This dropped him to 8th and he worked his way back to 6th.
The C-main he started on the outside pole and took the lead on about lap 3. Smooth sailing we had hoped, though something got stuck in the throttle linkage causing him to have a sticking throttle. He bounced it off the wall twice and then a yellow came out. He went to the work area and The Team CHR crew unlodged what ever it may have been, though at this point the car had lost it's barked he did manage to come back up to approx. 7th with no brakes.
Our dedicated volunteer crew is now hard at work making repairs so that we can return for the alphabet soup on Saturday.

Cap Henry will be starting in the 4th position in heat 7 tonight at the 24th annual chilibowl
Safe Arrival
January 14, 2010
Cap Henry and Team CHR arrived safely at the Chili Bowl this year in what was a very mundane, trip vs. last years break downs. The first day of practice went well and it appears that the rebuilt Hampshire Midget motor has plenty of power, other than that not a lot was learned, as we were the first and last sessions out on that day, so the track was not real conducive to learning a lot.
Russ Bohaty, Kasey Kahnes trainer came by and worked Cap out yesterday, and came back again today to give him a pep talk.
Today is our race day and we feel we are ready to go. The team has finished the car prep and now we just sit and wait until we hit the track. Unfortunately we have no control over what night we run and tonight is a strong night, as Sammy Swindell, Cruz Pendegron, Jesse Hockett, and other big names mix it up with us. As Cap says and he is right they put there suit on the same way I do.
Chili Bowl 2010
January 13, 2010
Cap Henry and Team CHR are at the 24th annual Chili Bowl the week of January 10th thru the 16th, 2010. The team had much greater success in getting to the track this year with no break downs. Cap hit the track on session 1 and session 52 on practice day and ran times that were consistent with the majority of the field. He was the only one to make any passes during his first session. The just freshened Hampshire Midget motor seems to have plenty of power this year, and the team looks forward there first race day on Thursday.
